Your Brake Fluid Is The Most Critical Lubricant to Your Driving Safety. Never Drive on Same Fluid For More Than 2yrs or 50,000kilometers.

If you are reading this and you own a vehicle, or know someone who does, please learn this today and share the vital safety information!

The brake fluid, a hygroscopic  lubricant containing anti-corrosion additives meant to keep your brake lines and parts corrosion free, and transfer pedal pressure to braking(stopping) force, is the most critical lubricant in your vehicle! It is the single most important lubricant in your car for your family’s safety!

And because brake fluids are highly hygroscopic(tending to absorb moisture from the atmosphere), they degrade over time due to increasing copper contents and corrosion levels; becoming increasingly compressible and potentially leading to brake pedal flattening(brake failure).

When your engine oil degrades and goes bad, your engine wears out and you get a new engine or overhaul the bad one; when your transmission fluid degrades, your transmission system wears and you get a replacement; but when your brake fluid degrades and goes bad(containing high water, copper and corrosion levels), it could be a matter of life and death!

Indeed, it’s great to move that fantastic car of yours; but stopping it safely is far greater and vital to you and your family’s safety!

Brake system parts and maintenance experts at Phoenix Systems in the United States, technical members of the Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE International) as well as automotive professionals at The Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association in the United States all agree that copper corrosion and high compressibility are the No.1 causes of brake part failure in passenger cars.

They recommended therefore that every vehicle undergoes a complete brake fluid replacement at 50,000kilometers or 2yrs(which ever comes first).

So please note and share this!

NEVER, i repeat, NEVER drive your passenger vehicle beyond 50,000kms or 2yrs on the same brake fluid! Have your mechanic drain the old water, copper and corrosion contaminated fluid completely, and replace with Dot3, Dot4, Dot4LV(Low Viscosity) or Dot5.1 specification fluid for cars with ABS and Dot5 for cars without ABS.

If you are not clear about your manufacturers’ recommended specification please consult your vehicle manual.
